BioSketch:

Tom Huff is responsible for coordinating operations in the Life Science labs on the Prince William Campus. This includes oversight of inventory, maintenance and repairs of the analytical research instrumentation and laboratory facilities. He also manages the Shared Research Instrumentation Facility, the core shared equipment lab. This includes instruction in analytical equipment use and consultation for faculty and student individual research projects.
 
Academic Background:

Currently a PhD candidate in Environmental Science and Policy at GMU. Holds an MS in Chemistry, 1996, George Mason University. BS in Environmental Science, 1977, Stockton State College, Pomona, NJ.
 

Research Interests:

His research specializes in analytical organic chemistry, particularly working environmental pollutants in surface waters in the Chesapeake Bay watershed. He has conducted considerable research using in gas-chromatography/mass spectrometry and liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry.
