On August 25, 1997, George Mason University opened the
doors of its Prince William Campus. This campus, located
in Manassas, is the third George Mason campus in Northern
Virginia; George Mason's other campuses are located
in Arlington and Fairfax.
The Prince William Campus is an integral part of George
Mason's distributed University. The 124-acre campus,
located at Innovation @ Prince William, serves all of
Northern Virginia and provides convenient access to
the university for citizens of Prince William, Fauquier,
and western Fairfax Counties; the cities of Manassas
and Manassas Park; and adjoining areas to the west and
south.
